PASADENA — October 26, 2026. Pasadena households thinking about rooftop solar panels or home battery storage can attend a city-run Solar Power and Battery 101 virtual workshop on Thursday, November 5 at 6 p.m.
What the session will cover
Pasadena Water and Power says the presentation will explain how to evaluate solar and battery-storage options, choose contractors, navigate permits and electrical-code requirements, and understand available incentives. The city says some new rebate programs may reduce qualifying upfront costs, with an estimated 20–30% savings for eligible participants under its description.
That percentage is a city estimate, not a guarantee of 30% savings for every property. The financial case depends on roof suitability, equipment, contractor quotes, rate schedules, tax and rebate rules, and the household’s electricity usage.
How to register
Residents should use the official Pasadena Water and Power events listing for the virtual workshop’s registration link and access details. The city lists 626-744-7311 for accessibility and accommodations and recommends at least 72 hours’ advance notice when requesting assistance.
The workshop is informational. It is not an offer to install free solar panels or batteries without verification. Read individual program documentation before signing a contract.
