PASADENA — October 26, 2026. Landlords and other rental property owners covered by Pasadena’s annual registration program have until Saturday, October 31 to complete their 2026 rental registrations. The city’s Rent Stabilization Department is offering one final walk-in assistance session on Thursday, October 29, from 9 a.m. to noon.
How much is the registration fee?
Pasadena lists the 2026 charge as $236.54 per registered rental unit. Actual filing requirements can depend on the property’s status and applicable rules. Owners should not assume every form of temporary lodging or every property is subject to the same obligations; read the program’s official definitions and exemptions.
Where to get in-person help
The final listed walk-in session is at the Rent Stabilization Department, 199 South Los Robles Avenue, first-floor conference room. The city says this assistance is free, open to the public and does not require an appointment. Bring Rental Registry account information and updated property and unit details so staff can help with the online process.
Grace period is not an extended filing deadline
The department says a seven-day grace period continues through November 7, with potential late fees beginning November 8. Owners should aim to register by the original October 31 deadline rather than count on every post-deadline submission being penalty-free in unusual circumstances. The city warns that late charges may apply.
